Let me introduce myself, my name is Maddie-May Stevens! I am super excited to bring you my new venture of 1-1 mentoring and coaching either online or in-person*. I am a professional musical theatre performer, who since graduating from the renown Laine theatre Arts in 2022 have worked as a dancer, singer and actress in all things from feature films to Seasonal events.
I have training in many styles of dance which is where my passion for performing really began. From the age of 4 my parents put me into jazz class, then tap, then ballet, then anything that would curb my addiction to performing and movement. Since then, my knowledge and love for the performing arts has flourished and grown into the career I now have and continue to calve.
At 16 I moved out of my childhood home to study at Bath Dance College, on a two year foundation BTEC course which aims to prepare you for auditioning for leading London performing arts school. With this backings, I was able to gain five offers from leading London schools, two of which were scholarships. As overwhelmed as I was I made the final decision to take the full scholarship to Laine Theatre Arts.
Learning from positive and generous educators is something I feel very strongly about as this is something I have personally seen the good and bad sides of, and the bad sides really can be detrimental! Avoiding this ‘sheep’ mentality and finding what makes you shine inside and out is what drives me to take this leap- I hope you will join me for the ride!
